Vijayawada ( Samrudha Odisha ) January 21: Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri S. Abdul Nazeer has participated as Chief Guest at the State Formation Day celebrations of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura, held as part of ‘Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat’ programme at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sri Abdul Nazeer has said that the Northeast region is an important part of India and it is well known for its natural beauty and tourism. He said that Manipur is a land of festivities throughout the year and is blessed with a unique flora and fauna system and rare and endemic plant and animal life. Meghalaya, meaning an ‘abode of the clouds,’ is a mountainous, and the wettest region of India and falls in one of the richest bio-diversities in the world, and Tripura, the third smallest state of India is very rich in its culture and tradition and it is a land of many fairs and festivals, said the Governor. The programme commenced with video messages from the Governors of Tripura and Meghalaya, followed by folk dances of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura performed by students. Dr. M. Hari Jawaharlal, Secretary to Governor, Sri P. Suryaprakash, Joint Secretary and other officers and staff members attended the programme.
